I am the owner and principal planner at Olivia Fata Events; I’ve worked on events with upwards of 450 people over the last nine years and I’m beyond excited I am able to do what I love again. In 2018, I filled out all my paperwork and applied for my business license with The City of Edmonton. I registered as Olivia Fata Assisting + Planning [because I do much more than plan events!] and started working towards building my second career. I have a full-time career in Administration which feeds my passion for organizing and assisting people.
I am a planner through and through. I live for high-stress situations. I love being able to make someone’s life a little easier and watching something very special come together. I’ve learned so many tips and tricks from being in countless roles within catering, restaurants, and hotels. I’m confident you will feel taken care of and at ease while we work together.
My love for planning and events began during my hospitality career in 2007 when I was working as a Front of House Manager in the restaurant industry; I oversaw and hosted promotional events, holiday parties, and private functions which lead to obtaining my Special Event Management Certification in 2010 from NAIT and in 2020, I obtained my Wedding Certification through WPIC. I am also a certified make-up artist and used to freelance prior to having my daughter.
With that being said if you read through my blog, you will learn that I have a daughter, London. December 2018 I got engaged to my best friend and this comes as a surprise to most people but I have zero interest in planning my own wedding. Family is super important to me and I love spending as much time as possible with the ones I love. In my free time, you can find me traveling, sleeping or hosting parties.
