Join me, the Edmonton Business Association, and Movember Canada
at Central Social Hall on November 28th, from 5:00-9:00pm

This is my co-planner, Shelley Roslund’s 4th Movember Mixer in partnership with the Edmonton Business Association, after taking a 5-year hiatus. We decided to get back into it when we heard of Brian Ross’ passing in April. Brian was a huge supporter of our past events so this one is 100% for him. He left the entire city with heavy hearts, so we thought this was a good way of honoring him! For anyone who doesn’t know, Brian Ross worked for the Edmonton Oiler Association for over 30 years, as a video coach and practice goalie.

We’ve teamed with Movember Canada, again, with 100% of the proceeds from our event going to supports research into Prostate Cancer, and Testicular Cancer, as well as Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

There will be Happy Hour Drink Specials, a live auction, 50/50 tickets, silent auction.
Our event will be hosted by Sportsnet’s Gene Principe.
Globals finest,  Gord Steinke & John Sexsmith, will be guest bartending.
Johnny Infamous will keep the party going!

Get your tickets HERE!

We couldn’t have done this, without the support of some amazing companies!

Cancer Statistics:

  • In Canada, Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, increases with age and globally kills 43 men every hour, with Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men.
  • Your risk of developing prostate cancer increases with age, but that doesn’t mean it’s a disease that only affects old men. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. Men who are of African or Caribbean descent, and men who have a family history (a brother or father with prostate cancer), are 2.5x more likely to get prostate cancer.
  • If you’re 50, you should be talking to your doctor about PSA testing. If you’re of African or Caribbean descent, you need to start that conversation at 45. And if you have a brother or father with prostate cancer in their history, do it at 45.
