I was contacted by Sasha in October 2019 for a Wedding Management Package with Setup and Teardown for her and Brett’s June 13, 2020 wedding.
April 2020, with COVID looming, Sasha + Brett decided to postpone until October 2020. I was grateful to be able to call upon my WPIC alumni Kathy Bowser from Atsey Events to help assist me with their wedding, while I had something else to attend to mid-day.
We planned a unique, COVID friendly-wedding for Sasha + Brett! The afternoon group joined them for passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by, an outdoor ceremony gathering everyone (at a safe distance, of course), now I need to add an outdoor ceremony in October is brave, there was snow, but it was short and sweet and gorgeous! Then the evening group had guests returning for dinner, who had not been in the venue yet! I loved the idea of this, so very COVID, so very uniqe and what a great way to include everyone.
Anyone who wasn’t from YEG, and traveled within driving distance was able to make it to the wedding and still able to make it home by coming to the earlier reception, elderly family was able to enjoy parts they may not have normally stayed for and the late night stuff was saved for friends to still enjoy! I have been recommending this type of event to a lot of couples who are trying to make their guestlist work.
Thank you Sasha + Brett for letting me (+ Kathy) be a part of your day!
